Basic Study on an Antenna Made of a Transparent Conductive Film

چکیده
The radiation characteristics of a monopole antenna that consists of one-half of a bow-tie dipole antenna, made of optically transparent conductive thin film and mounted above a ground plane, are investigated. The antenna is measured for several films with different sheet resistivities. It is found that the gain lowering of the antenna varies from 4.4 dB to 0.2 dB at 2.4 GHz and the efficiency of the antenna increases from 46% to 93% at the same frequency, as the sheet resistivity decreases from 19.8 Ω/ to 1.3 Ω/ , respectively. The antenna is analyzed by the moment method. A wire-grid model with resistance parallelly loaded on every discretized wire is applied. The analyzed results agree with the experimental ones very well.

Antennas Made of Transparent Conductive Films
Abstract— The radiation characteristics of two kinds of antennas made of transparent conductive films are investigated: a planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) and a monopole antenna. These antennas are designed to work at 2.4 GHz and their performances are compared with each other for several films with different sheet resistivities. Wire-grid models based on the moment method are applied for the n...
متن کاملOxide Thin Film Transistor Circuits for Transparent RFID Applications
Oxide material can make transparent devices with transparent electrodes. We developed a transparent oscillator and rectifier circuits with oxide TFTs. The source/drain and gate electrodes were made by indium thin oxide (ITO), and active layer made by transparent material of IGZO (Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide) on a glass substrate. The RC oscillator was composed of bootstrapped inverters, and 813 k...
متن کاملA Study of ZnO Buffer Layer Effect on Physical Properties of ITO Thin Films Deposited on Different Substrates
The improvement of the physical properties of Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) layers is quite advantageous in photovoltaic applications. In this study the ITO film is deposited by RF sputtering onto p-type crystalline silicon (c-Si) with (100) orientation, multicrystalline silicon (mc-Si), and glass substrates coated with ZnO and annealed in vacuum furnace at 400°C. Electrical, optical, structural a...
متن کاملPhotoresist-Free Patterning by Mechanical Abrasion of Water-Soluble Lift-Off Resists and Bare Substrates: Toward Green Fabrication of Transparent Electrodes
This paper describes the fabrication of transparent electrodes based on grids of copper microwires using a non-photolithographic process. The process--"abrasion lithography"--takes two forms. In the first implementation (Method I), a water-soluble commodity polymer film is abraded with a sharp tool, coated with a conductive film, and developed by immersion in water. Water dissolves the polymer ...
متن کاملThe Effect of Tin Weight Fraction and Annealing Condition on Electrical and Optical Properties of ITO/TiO2 Nanostructured Film
High transparent conductive indium tin oxide/titanium dioxide (ITO/TiO2) nanostructured thin film is prepared by sol-gel dip-coating technique. This method yielded monodisperse ITO nanoparticles with mean diameter of 12 nm. The atomic composition of the Sn within the ITO structure changed from 0-20 wt.%. Through controlled annealing temperature at 550 oC, the result...
